About the Author
Jim Sepe is an associate professor of accounting at Santa Clara University, where he teaches primarily intermediate accounting in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Professor Sepe received his BS from Santa Clara University, MBA from the University of California – Berkeley, and PhD from the University of Washington.

Mark Nelson is the Eleanora and George Landew Professor of Accounting at Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, where he has been teaching Intermediate Accounting at the MBA level out of Spiceland's Intermediate Accounting for several years. He received his BBA degree from Iowa State University and his MA and PhD degrees from Ohio State University.

David Spiceland is professor of accounting at the University of Memphis, where he teaches intermediate accounting and other financial accounting courses at the undergraduate and master's levels. He received his BS degree in finance from the University of Tennessee, his MBA from Southern Illinois University, and his PhD in accounting from the University of Arkansas.

Buyer Beware!! Only first 12 chapters!!

I wish I read the customer reviews first before ordering this book. This book only has the first 12 chapters. I am taking Intermediate II and need chapters 9-21. Needless to say when I went to read chapter 13 it wasn't there. No where in the main description on this page does it say this only contains chapters 1-12. If I knew this, I would have purchased direct from my school for brand new whole book at the manufacturer's cost of $200. NOW I am paying $138 for Volume 1 and $144 for Volume II = $282 for the same book!!! :( I am a huge fan of ordering text books from Amazon, but I guess now I will have to be more cautious when ordering them.

This book only has chapters 1-12, but the discription doesn't tell you that. I needed it for a class and was really annoyed when i couldn't use it...

I gave this product 3 stars because I have yet to take it out of the packaging so I can't really comment on the durability of the pages or shape that its in. This loose leaf book does NOT come with a binder. It also only includes chapter 1-12, which isn't a problem for my purposes because my course only goes up to chapter 11. The name does imply that its only Volume 1, so I guess that's why it's not the entire book. Other than that, its much cheaper than the hardcover version and a lot easier to manage since you can take it to class a chapter at a time as opposed to having the carry an entire book.

I'm satisfied, but just be careful with the details because a lot of people seemed to be displeased.
